Eligibility

• All entries must be legally harvested and tagged in the following counties: McCulloch, Concho, Menard, Mason, San Saba, Brown, and Coleman.

• Only white-tailed bucks killed during the regular hunting season are eligible.

• Deer killed in high-fence areas or on breeding farms are ineligible.
   

Entry Requirements

• All entries must be scored by a certified Texas Big Game Awards (TBGA).

• A photo showing the timestamp of the kill is required, and it must match the deer being entered (Harvest Tag must match information).

• Must bring Score sheet with you at the time of the entry and the photo with the person who harvested the Buck.

• Deer must be available for re-measurement if requested.
   

Scoring System

• Entries will be judged on a points system according to the Texas Big Game Awards criteria.

• Non-typical deer are eligible for the contest.

• Only the largest deer killed by a contestant will be eligible for contest prizes.
   

Disqualification

• Contestants can be disqualified at the judge’s discretion.

• Any contestant demonstrating poor behavior or causing undue issues for the judge will be disqualified. This contest is meant to be a fun celebration of hunting accomplishments.

• Any illegal deer or those not meeting Texas Parks and Wildlife standards will not be eligible.
   

Submission Rules

• Hunters must submit their entry Buck by Jan 5th, 2024, cut off time is 5pm.

• The certified scorer's information must be included with the entry, and they should be available for verification if needed.
   

Amendments

• Rules may be amended, or new rules may be added without warning if deemed necessary by the contest judge.

• The contest judge’s decision is final.
   

Fun and Community Spirit

• This contest is for fun, and no fees are charged for entry.

• The purpose is to celebrate the accomplishments of hunters and their families.

• Hunters are encouraged to bring in their deer, regardless of size. Even the smallest rack on the board could win $100!

• Winner will be announced on 1-11-2025 at 5pm
   

Safety and Sportsmanship

• Hunt safely and responsibly.

• Remember, this contest is about fun and good sportsmanship. Let’s celebrate together!
   

Reasons for Disqualification

• Breaking state laws

• Unethical behavior

 

All decisions are final and cannot be appealed by the contestant.
